Hello All. As many would know, the Museum is on Army grounds and names are required to be given to the security to gain access. If your name is not on the list you don’t get in.
Please reply to Garry McGravle or me treasurer@adaa.net.au, by the end of this month, 31 July, if you wish to attend.

Private cars will not be allowed onto the base as there is room for only 3 in the parking area. We expect to have a bus to ferry attendees from the main gate or some other meeting points.
Denis McCann
Secretary/Treasurer, ADAA)

On behalf of the Air Dispatch Association of Australia (ADAA), it gives me great pleasure to invite you all to attend a presentation ceremony at the Army Museum located at Gaza Ridge Barracks, South Bandiana, Victoria.

The ADAA is presenting a painting commemorating the first air drops conducted in August 1942 in Pupua New Guinea, by artist Alan Waite.

The painting depicts a Dakota aircraft conducting air drops onto Myola Lake, a piece of land that was newly found by Lieutenant Bert Kinzle of Australian New Guinea Administration Unit.

The painting will be presented to the museum by Brigadier Geoff Christopherson (Ret) and accepted by Major John Nelson on Friday 28 August 2015 at 1330 h.

It will be unveiled in close proximity to the current aerial delivery display. There will be a short ceremony and, as there may be a number of interstate visitors, dinner will be available at the Blazing Stump Hotel later in the afternoon/early evening.

I look forward to hearing back from you regarding your attendance at this auspicious event.

Warmest Regards
Garry
